Architect of the Capitol

As part of an indefinite delivery contract, Mason & Hanger provided engineering services for the Capitol Complex, which comprises 274 acres and over six million square feet of buildings. Projects completed under the five year contract included an emergency generator system design for the Russell Senate Office Building and the Library of Congress, an assessment of the telecommunications system campus-wide to consider current and future needs, and a study to identify deficiencies in the legislative call and clock system which synchronizes over 8,000 clocks as well as producing signals for legislative call buttons.
